Will the unusual Christmas gift be a hit or a miss?

For my boyfriend’s christmas gift, I am making and collage of pictures and I’m planning on making him a stocking. I was thinking like a couple big gifts. Possibly an engraved dog tag and bracelet. And then a few other small thoughtful things. I’m just not sure of what. I’m thinking of making a cd and writing a note. Any other ideas?

for someone you have been dating for a year? I make about 35k, so I am not loaded, but I have enough. I don’t want to spend too much and make him feel weird.

It’s been about 3 weeks since we’ve split up, but I still have strong feelings for her and I’m wanting to get her something for Christmas. I want to try to strengthen our friendship and show her that I still care for her, even if it means just being her friend. I know she caught a cold recently and I just thought I’d make her a blanket and tell her to keep warm and take care of herself. As much as I’ve tried to stop, the part of me that wants to take care of her just won’t stop, it doesn’t feel right to stop. I want us to overcome this awkward stage in our friendship and so I’m trying everything to help that. Do you think she would feel weird accepting a gift from me?

Alright, so the other day I got this crazy idea: I really want to have a Christmas where all the gifts I give are matched by donating money to a shelter or rescue.

I would absolutely love to give each member of my family something that relates to what they’re interested in and match or exceed the amount I spent on that gift with a donation to a charity in their name (either a shelter OR possibly relating to what they are interested in). I want certificates for each of these donations so I can wrap it with the present.

Does anyone know where I can find such certificates, or if there is anything better I can do gift-wise. I really like the donating idea. I would donate all of the money to a shelter if I didn’t think I would get weird looks Christmas morning.

There are four other people in my family and I have about $200 to spend on all of them.
